My journey to become a therapist began many years ago in Ireland through my own lived experience of therapy for complex trauma and I completed my training in Australia. I gained valuable experience in the field of addiction, sexual abuse and trauma working with adolescents and adults. I currently work as a Crisis Counsellor and Resilience Academy Facilitator in Pieta House and have my own private practice in The Dancing Soul.
I believe it takes huge courage, to make that first phone call and attend that first counselling appointment and to continue on the journey of self-discovery despite the uncertainty and at times painful process of revealing ones trauma/struggles in order to repair and heal.
I see counselling is an integral part of minding our mental health in todays fast paced society. I am passionate about providing a safe, non-judgemental, compassionate space for clients to experience a professional & ethical encounter of being heard, to be believed, respected, supported & understood. I look forward to welcoming you to your first session and journeying alongside you.
