I did my first formal training at Westhill College, in Selly Oak, Birmingham UK, (University of Birmingham Faculty of Education) and subsequently worked for many years in Youth and Community work in Dublin. Later I went on to qualify as a psychotherapist with the Institute of Psychosynthesis at Eckhart House, in Ballsbridge.
Since 1998 I am an accredited member of the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP), the Irish Council for Psychotherapy (ICP); and the European Association of Psychotherapy (EAP) which qualifies me to work as a psychotherapist anywhere in Europe. Since 2003 I have undertaken further training courses in Couple Counselling, Art Therapy, Mindfulness, Gestalt and Body Psychotherapy. Approach I work with my clients in a safe, supportive, confidential and non-judgmental environment. I use a holistic approach to identify client’s needs and to address those same needs in an integrative way. Within this holistic framework, all aspects of the human condition are addressed – body, mind and spirit. My training and years of experience allow me to facilitate clients in addressing such issues as depression, relationship problems, anxiety and stress, trauma, bereavement and loss, illness, childhood issues, abuse, suicide and self harm.
