hello community,
Our first newsletter of 2021…hard to to believe. There is an abundance of gratitude for this community as we start a new year. We have made it through a challenging year and we will continue together.
January often has a ‘new year, new you’ vibe, that doesn’t have to be your vibe. If it is that is okay. This is a gentle reminder to check-in with what you actually need right now. What might serve you. What might feed your mind, heart, body and spirit this month? How might you give this to yourself? One moment at a time.
This can be a raw month, never mind adding a lockdown to it. So ask yourself what would support me? Check in with the basics – food, water, movement, basic hygiene, sleep. If the basics is where you need to stay for this month, let it be. If you can add more to your supports, good for you.
Respect where you are at, not where you think you should be or what social media content is telling you. You are on your own journey, a human being with needs that are unique to you. Trust your pace.
We wish you a month of compassion and gentleness.
love and light friends,

NEW YEAR MESSAGE 2021
Never before in the world we have been born into is there are greater need for us to become conscious.
When the world around you seems to be falling apart, how do you stay connected to virtues like peace, trust, hope, and love?
One of the ‘gifts’ of the Covid Pandemic is that it has given us all more time; Time for reflection, Time for connection, Time to focus on what we want and what we see as truly valuable.
We are not just our bodies, we are not just our thoughts; By discovering our formless identity—consciousness itself—allowing an intelligence far greater than the mind to operate through us in the world is the change that will change the world.
The beginning of a new year is a wonderful time to set the intentions of what you want for yourself, for your family and for the world. Take a moment to stop and make some choices. Intentions and positive thoughts have power. Nothing exists without being thought into existence.
Choose to “Be the change you want to see in the world.” (Ghandi)

A message from Lisa Quigley and Olivia Feehan as new Directors of The Dancing Soul
Hi everyone, just a little hello.
My name is Lisa Quigley and I am one of the new directors of The Dancing Soul. I feel and hope that this is a year of new beginnings. A new beginning for myself both personally and professionally.
I will continue on my role as one of the principal psychotherapists seeing clients, supporting people as they embark on their journey of healing.
However, I will now also be in a dual role and in some ways going back to my own roots, where my educational journey begun as a graduate in Business Management of Athlone IT.
I want to thank Julie for having faith in me, I look forward to working with Olivia as co-director. I hope that as directors we continue to nurture and grow The Dancing Soul and do it, our therapists and Julie proud.
The Dancing Soul has been at the centre of healing and growth for many years and I hope it will continue for many more.
Blessings
Lisa Quigley
When I joined the Dancing Soul community I was welcomed with warmth, support and enthusiasm. Now as a Director I look forward to continuing to nourish, grow and expand the essence of what the Dancing Soul means to so many people.
I’m continuing my work as a psychotherapist with the adding of new responsibilities, all of which I welcome. I’m full of gratitude to Julie for the opportunity, excited to work alongside Lisa and enthusiastic to collaborate and serve our community with the DS team.

Journal Prompts
- A letter of advice to myself, based on what I’ve learned in the past year, would look like…
- How might I make space for supporting myself this month?
- If I become aware of how am I speaking to myself what do I notice? How does the voice sound… the tone… the pace?
- How would it be and feel to speak to myself as if I am speaking to a loved one?

January invitation to support your wellbeing
An invitation to explore the Enneagram
If you’re familiar with the Enneagram, you know it’s a system of personality typing that describes patterns in how people interpret the world and manage their emotions.
On a deeper level, it can drive transformation of consciousness so you can realise your essence, your true self… increasing both your individual and our collective awareness.
Each of the nine Enneagram types is characterised by its own set of behaviours, motivations, and fears. Yet the Enneagram is less about nine types of people — and more about nine paths to our true selves.

Words to ponder over the coming month
In the end, enjoying life’s experiences is the only rational thing to do. You’re sitting on a planet spinning around in the middle of absolutely nowhere. Go ahead, take a look of reality. You’re floating in empty space in a universe that goes on forever. If you have to be here, at least be happy and enjoy the experience. You’re going to die anyway. Things are going to happen anyway. Why shouldn’t you be happy?
