October Newsletter

Hello Community,
How are you?
How is your heart?
How is it to ask yourself these questions in this moment?
As another season changes, we are reminded of how much has changed this year. What has been lost and gained. Who and what we are grieving. We adjust and readjust to life as we know it. And as we do, we must not forget the human being navigating through. Being human is a lot right now.
In this space we offer to bring the focus back to you. What do you need right now? … What can you give yourself?… time, space, comfort, compassion? How would it be to carve out this for yourself? What would that look like? How would that feel?
It is not selfish to bring the focus back to you, rather it is essentially necessary – when you show up for yourself, you can show up for your world. The beautiful part is you can be and do both, simultaneously. There is enough space to care for yourself and for others. There is enough space for your inner world and outer world. So as you journey through this month, the invitation is here to cultivate space just for you.
Love and light,
The Dancing Soul
You can search throughout the entire universe for someone who is more deserving of your love and affection than yourself, and that person is not to be found anywhere. You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.

Claire Bruton
Holistic and Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist
I am starting in the Dancing Soul in September and will be offering one to one therapy, group support and mental health workshops.
I hold a degree in both Holistic and Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy that has broadened my skillset to work with various mental health issues. My focus for my clients is to honour their story and life events through their unique lens whilst maintaining a supportive stance as they journey through their course of therapy. A holistic approach in therapy can allow opportunities to explore how the mind, body and spirit works together in a way which may inhibit or enhance overall wellbeing. With a particular curiosity in the areas of anxiety, self-esteem issues, domestic violence, trauma and grief and loss, I am keen to work with my clients to tailor make an effective therapy plan that will support them to activate their own inner healing force and facilitate a return to optimum well-being.

Book Recommendation

Dr. Edith Eger  –  The Choice

“I’ll be forever changed by Dr. Eger’s story…The Choice is a reminder of what courage looks like in the worst of times and that we all have the ability to pay attention to what we’ve lost, or to pay attention to what we still have.”— Oprah
“I have just finished reading”the choice” and I didn’t want it to finish…. What an amazing inspirational woman Edith Edgar is. She teaches us all how to work through all the big and little traumas of our life in a way where we constantly choose our “response” to the situations in our lives rather than reacting unconsciously and lashing out with the anger and pain we feel.”  –
Julie Parmenter (Director of the Dancing Soul.)
