Specializing in neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD, ADHD, and intellectual disability.

Joanne provides a safe and confidential creative space, for children, adolescents, and adults to explore the power of creative communication without the pressure of verbal expression. Art therapy with Joanne can help people managing high levels of anxiety, feelings of depression or people struggling through a loss, a bereavement, a difficult life transition or someone who may not be able to, or want to, verbalise their struggle and are open to exploring themselves through the art making process.

Joanne often incorporates a variety of both directive and non-directive expressive arts medium into her practice including mindfulness techniques, CBT and DBT. Person-centred in her approach, Joanne will work with the individual to develop an intervention that is right for them.

Joanne follows best practice guidelines and is a member of the Irish Association of the Creative Arts Therapies (IACAT).
